MenEngage Alliance South Asia

Welcome to MenEngage Alliance South Asia

Formed in 2007, MenEngage Alliance South Asia (MEASA) is a regional alliance affiliated to the Global MenEngage Alliance composed of five country networks – Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka with over 240 members in the region. MenEngage seeks to provide a collective voice on the need to engage men and boys in gender equality, to build and improve the field of practice around engaging men in achieving gender justice, and advocating before policymakers at the local, national, regional, and international levels.

Sexual & Gender-Based Violence

Sexual and gender-based violence  refers to any act that is perpetrated against a person’s will and is based on gender norms and unequal power relationships.

Youth Leadership

Youth leadership has been elaborated upon as a theory of youth development in which young people gain skills and knowledge necessary to lead civic engagement, education reform and community organizing activities.

Peace Building & Non-Violence

Action for Nonviolence and Peacebuilding works to contribute to sustainable peace by engaging diverse communities in joint action and by promoting active citizenship.
