Shale Ahmed is the Executive Director of Bandhu Social Welfare Society, a Community led Organization working on improving sexual health and promotion & protection of rights of Sexual & Gender diverse populations across Bangladesh since 1996.

Mr. Ahmed is member of several advisory groups including; Technical Advisory Group for developing the regional MSM/Transgender clinical guideline; Advisory Committee on the regional representative for Asia Pacific of UN office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR); Asia Pacific Network of Sex Workers (APNSW), National AIDS/STI network of Bangladesh and Bangladesh human rights forum of Bangladesh.

Ranjan Karmaker is the Executive Director of Steps Towards Development (Steps) in Bangladesh. More than thirty years of experience in development activities related to Research, Program Designing, Result Based Project Planning,

Implementation, Result Based Monitoring, Capacity development, Networking, policy analysis, Policy reform and Advocacy in the field of Human Rights, Social Development, Gender equality, Women Political Empowerment, SRHR, Gender Responsive Budgeting and Inclusive and Equitable Governance in relation with National Fifth year plan, SDG, National Women Advancement Policy, CEDAW, CRC and HRC.

Dr. Sayed Saikh Imtiaz

Professor at University of Dhaka

Dr. Sayed Saikh Imtiaz is currently working as a Professor at the Department of Women and Gender Studies, University of Dhaka. After completing a BSS degree from the Anthropology Department (1999-2000) and an MSS degree (2000-2001) from the Women’s Studies Department of Dhaka University, he achieved a Ph.D. degree from the University of Amsterdam in 2012 and joined a multidisciplinary research team at Vanderbilt University, USA as a Post-Doctoral Researcher where he worked until the end of 2013. His Ph.D. research was on young men, sexuality, and the construction of masculinities in Bangladesh.
